As Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season, Saturday offers a perfect opportunity to find unique gifts while supporting local businesses in Baltimore. The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore is hosting its Shop Small Crawl on Saturday, showcasing 12 local businesses in a fun and festive way. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, participants can join in on this exciting event, exploring the diverse offerings from Charles Street to the Harborplace pavilions.
Shelonda Stokes, president of the Downtown Partnership, emphasizes the importance of supporting small businesses, saying, “It really supports the ecosystem. So we want to get off the bus, go into these businesses, and shine a light on what they do.”
Shop Small Crawl Highlights
This year’s crawl features an impressive lineup of local favorites. For example, Fleur De Lis, a floral shop with over 28 years in downtown Baltimore, will offer a bouquet-making demonstration where participants can create their own arrangements to take home. Attendees will also visit Elite Secrets Bridal, known for its unmatched bridal shopping experience in the heart of the Mount Vernon fashion district.
Among the other notable stops are Cajou Creamery, the first and only plant-based creamery in the DMV, and the dede. shop, a chic interior decor store owned by the sisters behind luxury interior design firm, Decorelle.
Yvette Pappoe, co-owner of the dede. shop, shares her excitement for the event, hoping to encourage more foot traffic to the Bromo Arts District. “The Bromo Arts District is a neighborhood that deserves more attention,” said Pappoe. She added that this event gives access to thoughtfully curated decor for everyone, from sustainable clothing at DIFFERENTREGARD to the artistic creations at BOOST Boutique Harborplace.
