Predator Badlands trailer teases a bold new direction unlike any Predator movie before. The Predator itself is at the center of the action in this most recent episode due to a narrative twist.
The brief yet captivating video features Elle Fanning on a far-off Predator world. But the Predators are the main attraction this time. Predator: Badlands offers a novel plot in which a baby Predator befriends a human, as opposed to concentrating on humans attempting to thwart these extraterrestrial predators.
The Story: An Unlikely Alliance
In the official synopsis, Predator: Badlands is set in the future, on a distant planet. At the center of the narrative is a young Predator who is shunned by his group. He befriends Thia, played by Elle Fanning, and sets off on a dangerous quest to uncover the ultimate enemy.
This new Predator film presents a novel interpretation of the popular concept. Instead of being the adversary, the Predator character (Dek, played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatang) is now the main character.
A New Vision for the Franchise
Dan Trachtenberg, director of the hit movie Prey, returns to helm Predator: Badlands. Prey was a massive success for Hulu, becoming the fifth installment in the Predator franchise and providing an origin story for the alien species.
Badlands is a stand-alone sequel that breaks from Prey’s prequel framework. Unlike other movies that debuted on streaming services, this one is scheduled to be released in cinemas.
A direct sequel to Prey, currently dubbed Prey 2, is also in the works, with Amber Midthunder expected to return.
When Will Predator: Badlands Be Shown in Theaters?
Predator: Badlands will hit theaters on November 7, 2025. The sixth entry in the Predator series is anticipated to present a novel interpretation of the well-known alien race.
