
Milan, Italy – Luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta has announced that Louise Trotter will take the reins as its new creative director, following the departure of Matthieu Blazy.
Trotter, who previously served as creative director at the French brand Carven since February 2023, will officially join Bottega Veneta at the end of January 2025. Known for her ability to draw inspiration from everyday life and her meticulous craftsmanship, Trotter’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the iconic Italian brand.
In a statement, Leo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta, expressed his confidence in Trotter’s direction for the brand. He stated, “Through her sophisticated lens, Bottega Veneta will continue to celebrate its heritage while preserving modern relevance.”
The announcement also acknowledged the contributions of Matthieu Blazy, who led Bottega Veneta for three years, bringing a sense of playfulness and innovation through new volumes and clever treatments of leather, which is central to the brand’s identity. Kering, the parent company of Bottega Veneta, extended its gratitude to Blazy for his transformative work during his tenure.
