Janelle Brown Reflects on Son Garrison’s Sudden Passing

Janelle Brown opens up in the latest Sister Wives episode about the untimely death of her son, Garrison Brown. The tragedy started when Garrison, who was 25 at the time, was found dead on March 5, 2024.

Janelle recalled that she had been contacting Garrison all day before getting the heartbreaking news. She shared that they had a strong bond, regularly communicating several times a day.

“I knew he was struggling,” Janelle revealed. “I always just picked up the phone and always made it a point to talk to him. It wasn’t really about anything—he just needed the connection.”

Garrison’s Alcohol Addiction Prior to His Demise

According to Janelle, Garrison struggled with alcoholism, which grew worse in the year before he passed away. He had previously been against drinking, but during the epidemic, he started to drink excessively.

“I don’t know what happened,” Janelle said, considering her son’s transformation. “During COVID, he began drinking. This past year, something happened that truly got to him.

Janelle and the rest of the family provided Garrison with unshakable support in spite of the difficulties. They made sure to reach out whenever he fell off the radar.

Final Times with Garrison

Janelle explained that Garrison had ceased messaging her the night before he passed away. She asked her other boys, Hunter and Logan, to check on Garrison since she was worried. Regretfully, Gabriel called her next and conveyed the heartbreaking news.

“Mom, he’s gone,” Gabriel said, leaving Janelle devastated by the loss.

Garrison’s Death: An Unanswered Mystery

While Janelle acknowledged Garrison had episodes where he would binge drink and then go radio silent, she admitted that she could not understand what went wrong that final night.

“I don’t know what happened that night he did that,” she said. “He’s had other nights like this where he would drink and pass out, but he would come back the next morning.”

The family’s grief is ongoing, and Janelle’s openness about Garrison’s struggles provides a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding his death.
