Levine called the firings “terrifying.” She stated, “The Justice Department is under attack. They’re coming after those who uphold the law.” She believes she was fired simply for doing her job. “I followed the facts. I followed the law. And I got fired for it.”

Brennan agreed, saying, “We know what we did was right. No regrets.” He emphasized that the 140 officers injured during the riot received justice. “The evidence was overwhelming.”

Concerns About Pardons

Former Acting Attorney General Peter Keisler also weighed in.He criticized the pardons and suggested politics motivated them. “This was a decision to protect people who committed serious crimes in support of the president.”He added, “No one believes Trump would have pardoned these people if they had stormed the Capitol in opposition to him.”

Keisler warned that the move sends a dangerous message. “It says you can commit crimes, but if you support the president, you might get off.”

The Bigger Picture

Brennan expressed worries about the Justice Department’s shift in focus. He suggested that the layoffs are part of a larger strategy to restructure the company, turning its back on law enforcement and Congress as the real national injustice.

Many people are curious about the future of federal law enforcement in light of these results. It is evident from the following exchange that Levine and Brennan are still working despite their firing.
