Denis Villeneuve James Bond movie confirmed as Amazon MGM Studios names him director, ending months of speculation.
Villeneuve, known for hits like Dune, Blade Runner 2049, and Arrival, called it a “massive responsibility” and said he would “honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come.”
Villeneuve: A Die-Hard Bond Fan at the Helm
In a statement, Denis Villeneuve reflected on his personal history with the iconic spy:
“I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory.”
He will also serve as executive producer, collaborating with Amy Pascal (Spider-Man) and David Heyman (Harry Potter) on the film.

The announcement did not confirm who will play the next James Bond, though names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton, and Paul Mescal are heavily rumored.
