Alyson Stoner Taylor Lautner comment goes viral as Stoner jokes about nearly being “convinced” they were straight by their Cheaper by the Dozen 2 co-star. The actor, who identifies as pansexual and queer and uses they/them pronouns, joked that Lautner nearly convinced them they were straight during the filming of their 2005 movie.

“Almost Convinced Me I Was Straight”

“Got me good! Almost convinced me I was straight. ”
Lautner responded, “OMFG YOU WIN,” while his wife, Tay Lautner, chimed in:
“This is so good .”
The post instantly made the rounds across social media, giving fans a heartfelt laugh and a dose of 2000s kid nostalgia.
Stoner’s Queer Identity and Advocacy
Stoner came out publicly in a 2018 Teen Vogue essay, writing:
“I am attracted to men, women, and people who identify in other ways… It is the soul that captivates me.”
Despite their honesty, Stoner revealed they were fired from a children’s show after coming out:
“They felt that I was unsafe, now that they knew I was queer, to be around kids.”
They’ve since used their platform to advocate for LGBTQ+ visibility and are releasing a memoir titled Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything on August 12, 2025.
Cheaper by the Dozen 2: A Fan Favorite
The 2005 family comedy starred Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt and featured a massive ensemble cast. Taylor Lautner played Elliot Murtaugh, part of the rival family, while Stoner reprised their role as one of the Baker kids.
The film continues to resonate with fans, as seen by the nostalgic responses to Lautner’s recent post. The chemistry between Elliot and Sarah may have been fictional, but it sparked real-world laughs two decades later.
